Hello, little dreamers! My name is Hans J Sonnenberg, but when the stars twinkle and the moon glows bright, you can call me Grandpa the Storyteller.
Every night, I love to snuggle up with my grandchildren and spin magical tales in Grandpa’s enchanted backyard—a place where fireflies dance, rabbits go on adventures, and even the tiniest ant can become a hero. My stories are filled with friendly animals, such as Flapjack the singing bluebird, Aliyah the wise turtle, and Clover the brave rabbit. Together, we discover that kindness, courage, and a big imagination can turn any ordinary night into an incredible adventure.
When I was a little boy, I loved listening to bedtime stories, and now I get to share my own with you! Occasionally, the stories come from watching the busy ants, the shimmering Luna Moth, or the gentle bats in my garden. Other times, they are inspired by special gifts—like the birdhouse my grandson Ian gave me, which became the home of Flapjack in our very first tale.
My greatest wish is that my stories help you feel safe, loved, and ready to dream. Whether you’re giggling at Pico the woodpecker’s silly tricks or learning from Tadeo the toad’s wise words, I hope you always remember: the real magic lives inside you. Be curious, be kind, and never stop believing in the wonder of the world around you.
And if you ever wonder where I find the courage to tell stories about facing hard times, it’s because I once wrote a book for grown-ups called _Embracing Adversity – A Life Torn and Rebuilt_. In that book, I share how even grown-ups have to be brave and find hope when things are tough. But don’t worry—here, under the moonlight, our stories are filled with gentle lessons, happy endings, and lots of love.
